EBAY AUCTIONS....coming soon!

Ok, let me just start off by saying that yes, the idea of shelling out your hard-earned money solely to help send me to Europe is kind of nuts. But I figure at the least you'll get a chuckle at this page and at the most I'll make that little extra dough that could send me off to Paris, Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Rome, etc.

So, I've thought ahead and come up with several option/incentives/"desperate pleas for help" that could make the idea seem more fruitful for you:

1. eBay. In the upcoming months I'll be auctioning off stuff that you might possibly enjoy. Mostly magazines, CDs and impulse purchases from Urban Outfitters. All the profits will go directly to my trip. If you're interested bookmark this page and keep checking back for updates on new auctions.

2. Donate $30 and up and I'll send you a screen printed t-shirt in your size (I haven't decided what the shirt will look like yet, so please bear with me)

3. Donate ANY amount (even pennies) and if you have a website I'll link you on my affiliates page.

SIDE NOTE:I'm still trying to come up with the right gifts and "thanks yous" to give people in return for donating so please feel free to submit ideas and suggestions.
4. I'll be doing my part by saving up my own money. It's not like I'm expecting Oprah to stumble apon this site and automatically donate, say, $10,000 plus first class airline/train tickets, vouchers to luxury hotels and a chauffer/pastry fetcher...because after all Oprah is a pillar of the global community and her charity is not to be taken lightly...and she...um....always looks pretty on TV...I feel the same way about P Diddy as well.

5. Uh...it's a tax write off?

6. If your name is Yamani Baker then you owe me $5 dollars. So cough it up.

Aside from money I'm always looking for advice and general information. You stayed in a nice hostel in Amsterdam that you'd like to recommend? Great. Your cousin Leroy knows a guy who dates a girl who did a great student exchange program and you'd like to give her e-mail? Even better. Even if you just want to warn me about some shady Dutch guy that you once met in a bar. All wisdom and advice is welcome.

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at jamala2europe@earthlink.net

Your desperate and grateful friend,
